CRUSH SCHOOL

I blog on Brain-Based Learning, Metacognition, EdTech, and Social-Emotional Learning. I am the author of the Crush School Series of Books, which help students understand how their brains process information and learn. I also wrote The Power of Three: How to Simplify Your Life to Amplify Your Personal and Professional Success, but be warned that it's meant for adults who want to thrive and are comfortable with four letter words.

Crush School Terms of Service

Effective date: July 22, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of crushschool.com, app.crushschool.com, the Master Teacher Toolkit, and the Activity Launcher, collectively referred to as the “Service.”

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

The Master Teacher Toolkit provides educators with classroom activities, instructional ideas, planning tools, and related educational resources.

The Activity Launcher includes quick classroom activities such as bell ringers, exit tickets, brain breaks, and longer class activities.

We may improve, revise, add, or remove features and content over time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to purchase a subscription.

The Service is designed for educators and other adults. It is not intended for student accounts or direct use by children under 13.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account. Notify us promptly at oskar@crushschool.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

Each subscription is intended for use by one individual unless a separate school, district, team, or multi-user license has been purchased.

You may not share your login credentials with other individuals.

4. Subscriptions and Automatic Renewal

The Service offers the following subscription options:

  • Monthly subscription: $4.99 per month

  • Annual subscription: $39.99 per year

Applicable taxes may be added where required.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Stripe to charge your selected payment method for recurring subscription fees and applicable taxes.

Current pricing will be displayed before you complete your purchase. We may change subscription prices in the future. Price changes will apply to a future billing period and will be communicated when required.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the account page and Stripe customer portal.

When you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current paid billing period. You will not be charged for another billing period after the cancellation becomes effective.

Canceling a subscription does not automatically delete your account.

6. Refund Policy

Subscription payments are generally nonrefundable once a billing period has begun.

We do not provide prorated refunds or credits for partially used monthly or annual subscription periods, unused features, or failure to use the Service.

Refunds may be provided when required by applicable law or when we determine that a billing error or duplicate charge occurred.

To report a possible billing error, contact oskar@crushschool.com and include the email address connected to your account and a description of the issue. Do not send complete credit card information by email.

Cancel your subscription before its renewal date to prevent the next recurring charge.

7. Permitted Use

While your subscription is active, Crush School grants you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service for your own professional and classroom-related purposes.

You may use activities from the Service with students you personally teach.

You may adapt activity directions for your own classroom needs.

8. Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Share, sell, sublicense, or transfer your account

  • Provide your login credentials to another person

  • Copy or download the activity database in bulk

  • Republish, upload, distribute, sell, or give away substantial portions of the Service

  • Use automated tools to scrape, extract, copy, or reproduce content

  • Create a competing database, application, website, book, or commercial product using content from the Service

  • Attempt to bypass subscription, authentication, payment, or security controls

  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Service

  • Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes

Purchasing a subscription does not transfer ownership of the Service or its content to you.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its activity database, written content, organization, design, branding, graphics, software, and original materials, is owned by Crush School or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

“Crush School,” “Master Teacher Toolkit,” “Activity Launcher,” and associated names, logos, and branding may not be used without written permission.

10. Student Information

The Service is not designed to store student educational records or personally identifiable student information.

Do not enter student names, email addresses, identification numbers, grades, health information, disciplinary information, disability information, or other confidential student records into the Service.

You are responsible for complying with your school’s policies and any laws or regulations that apply to student information.

11. Educational Responsibility

The activities and resources provided through the Service are general educational materials.

You are responsible for reviewing each activity and determining whether it is appropriate for your students, subject, grade level, learning objectives, classroom environment, school policies, and safety requirements.

The Service does not replace your professional judgment as an educator.

12. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep the Service available and functioning, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical problems, internet outages, security concerns, or circumstances beyond our control.

We may update, replace, reorganize, or discontinue portions of the Service. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of material changes when appropriate.

13. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Squarespace, Netlify, Supabase, Stripe, and Resend.

Your use of certain third-party features may also be governed by those providers’ terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for outages, errors, policy changes, or actions caused by third-party providers beyond our reasonable control.

14. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service when we reasonably believe that a user has:

  • Violated these Terms

  • Shared an account without permission

  • Attempted to bypass payment or security protections

  • Used the Service unlawfully

  • Caused harm to the Service or other users

You may stop using the Service at any time. Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate actions.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We do not guarantee that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every classroom, curriculum, student, device, or educational purpose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Crush School will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service during the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by a court with appropriate jurisdiction in Minnesota, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
